There were some stories I liked; most I did not.
And before you go any further into this, keep in mind, I am not your typical boyboy crazy girl. I don't usually read yaoi, but I will indulge in it every now and then. I am picky in my pickings and like plot... not that I don't like sex, I do like that too, but I HAVE to have a good plotline to follow. And even though, I know, these are only snippets of series (or are they short stories? I'm not sure; I'm not that educated about yaoi) in this book, I was rather disappointed in my findings.
I liked Indecent Encounter. Sexy in a small way.
The Pale and Wavering Sketch was also one I liked.
Nostalgic Summer Memories was actually my favorite, by far. I'm not big on the art style, but the plot is actually intriguing. Interesting.
I thought The Proper Way to Raise a Pet was cute, but I don't generally like the whole cat ear, dog ear thing. I liked the dialogue and drawings, but I don't see it as a love story.
I didn't entirely get the whole Pretend Lovers thing (as I guess that story is more for those who like to... fantasize about butlers (same boat as maids, I guess; the whole server aspect)? Yeah, not my thing... but I did like the art style (too bad).
Not all well drawn manga comes with a good story line.
I think if I read more We Have a Hero in our Hearts, I'd actually like the story plot more.
In the fun aspect of reading, not serious. Reminds me of the light heartedness of Marionette Generation (which I love, btw!).
Neko Samurai is hilarious... and oh so, hilariously Wrong! But I can't stop laughing to take the plotline serious.
The Troubles of Kurashina Sensei I liked. Same with TheifXTheif.
Loving Boys Boarding School is absolutely perverted. Humorous but even more perverted than Neko Samurai. Not exactly a favorite of mine.
From there on, I lost interest in the rest of the volume. All those animal ears... cute, but, perhaps I'm biased... I only like the look on small kids... and girls. Lots of girls.
I prefer yuri, just to say.
