"5-stars. Grey West has created a world that's inventive, completely unexpected, and bursting at the seams with mayhem. Fans of THE WALKING DEAD and genre mash-ups like ABRAHAM LINCOLN VAMPIRE HUNTER will love Double Barrel." -Jeremy Robinson, Bestselling Author of SecondWorld and Threshold

THE FIRST SEASON OF THE SERIALIZED ZOMBIE THRILLER COLLECTED IN ONE FULL-LENGTH NOVEL.

From the mind of author Grey West comes a groundbreaking saga that wildly re-imagines America's past. Set twelve years after the Civil War, the Double Barrel series puts readers on a collision course with history...and zombies.

IN THE Twin brothers John and James Barrel are the nation's deadliest Regulators--gunslingers with a license to kill from Abraham Lincoln. When an urgent telegraph from the President is cut off by a zombie attack, the Barrels must set out to find and kill the man responsible for the zombie scourge.

IN THE Seventeen-year-old Violet Drake and her mute brother Sam have seen nightmares before, but nothing like the evil flooding the streets of New York City. After learning of a possible cure, the Drakes must race against time to find the one person who can help, a man known as the Wizard of Menlo Park. But first they must escape Manhattan before it's overrun by the undead.

Four survivors.

Two adrenaline-laced stories.

One incredible journey that will pit them against the world.

This is the full season of Double Season One, collecting Episodes 1-6 into one full-length book. This edition contains all six books in their entirety.

GREY WEST is the author and creator of the Double Barrel series of novels.

Born in [OMITTED] and raised by [CLASSIFIED], he discovered his gift for words at an early age. He eventually learned to write, which mercifully made good use of those words since he wasn't particularly gifted at speaking.

Following in the footsteps of his parents, he studied Differential History and Dubious Occultism with the world-renowned professor [CONFIDENTIAL] at [TOP SECRET], receiving three PhD's, highest honors from the faculty, and a letter from the Queen promising eventual knighthood provided he kept his oath to warn her of any imminent apocalypses-zombie, robotic, alien or otherwise.

He now lives in [VERY, VERY SECRET] with [EVEN MORE SECRET THAN THAT LAST BIT] and spends his days making stuff up for a living, enjoying fine food and drink, and warding off enemies so evil they cannot be mentioned here. He also likes the number three for obvious reasons.

A zombie apocalypse in the late 1800s is West’s concept for his novel, released in serial form (this edition collects the first six “episodes”). Each chapter alternates between two converging storylines: the gun-slinging Barrel brothers seek the source of the plague, while the enigmatic Drake children carry information of a potential cure. West paces well (though a few of the episode-ending “cliff hangers” are a bit contrived) and has created compelling characters on a captivating journey.

What can I say... I normally and frequently don't want much to do with either Western novels or with Zombie genre.

Until one day I took a chance and snagged Double Barrel Season One. Now I'm an avid fan who is eagerly awaiting the next Season to be issued.

It grabbed my attention and drew me into the story and kept me immersed inside until I figuratively fell out of my chair when the last page was turned. Excellent writing, in my humble opinion.
