About the Author:
Grant R. Jeffrey was an internationally known author of more than twenty bestsellers and the editor of the Marked Reference Prophecy Study Bible Recognized as one of the world's leading teachers of prophecy and an intelligent defense of the Christian faith, Jeffrey had frequent appearances on television and radio throughout the world. He studied at Philadelphia College of the Bible before entering the business world. Later he earned his masters and Ph.D. degrees in biblical literature from Louisiana Baptist University. Dr. Grant graduated to glory to be with his Lord and Savior on May 11, 2012.
My thoughts about the book: To call this revealing book nothing less than shocking would be an understatement. It IS shocking and provocative to be sure because author Jeffrey in a forthright and no-holds-barred manner states the truth about what is really happening behind the scenes in America and what he believes is going to happen unless something radically changes in our nation politically and quickly. And he does so without apology I might add. His book is a wake-up call to Americans to stop running around like chickens with their heads cut off, or ostriches’ with their head in the sand and STOP and take a long, hard serious look at where we are as a nation and where we are headed and how to plan for the future. Dr. Grant holds tenaciously to a Christian worldview so what he writes in his book is factually framed within that viewpoint.
The book consists of eleven chapters and three Appendixes. And every page and chapter is truth-revealing and significant. In the introduction to his book, “There Is More At Stake Than We Realize” – that being the decline of the American Empire, Dr. Grant lays the foundation for the shocking details he is going to reveal in the rest of the book.
In Chapter 1 Dr. Grant states the reality as it is for America and it is a grim one and one that most people will not easily accept or will not accept at all but rather reject it outright as just another conservative Christian shouting “fire” in a packed theater when there is no fire. The title of the chapter is “Now is the Time to Prepare For America’s Fall -Things have gone too far to reverse the slide.” Notice he did not put the word “if” in the title as if to leave any room for doubt concerning the inevitable and soon coming fall of America. Using something that is not so “common” today – that being “common sense,” Dr. Grant reveals to us that it is fiscally and politically impossible for us to continue as we are as a nation and survive.
In chapter’s two through eleven Dr. Grant expands on the foundation he laid down in Chapter 1. He explains in Chapter 2 how we are heading for economic “Armageddon,” and that it will be here sooner than we think. In Chapter 3 author Grant states the real truth behind the statistics that we hear so often quoted on the news or printed in newspapers across the land. And he presents the reality that the figures our government is giving us are less than accurate to put it mildly. For example the real unemployment numbers are one statistic that he shares the real truth about. In Chapter 4 he reveals what truly made America a great nation when it was founded and what kept it great until our getting to where we are at today. It is a brief but accurate history lesson you will not find taught in most of our public schools today.
In Chapter 5 Dr. Grant writes about what he refers to as the “undermining” of our military and military defense systems. We are not the powerful military nation most citizens think we are and where we are heading according to Dr. Grant is alarming to say the very least. Now Chapter 6 is where it gets really scary as author Grant informs us how our rights as citizens have eroded dramatically referring to the current presidency as “the Imperial Presidency that violates your conscience.” And then there is the issue of our President signing the executive order titled “National Defense Resources Preparedness.” “This order gives the executive branch the power to take over the government, to essentially consolidate all federal control in a time of national emergency.” It is in this chapter that he refers to America as a “police state.” And this is not fiction my friends. Oh no, this is for real. The facts don’t lie.
In Chapter 7 we learn about the steps China is taking as a nation to one day ultimately control our country. One example of what they are doing is stockpiling large amounts of gold and silver to back their currency while our government prints billions of dollars of phony money leading to the devaluation of our dollar. So the Chinese currency is rising in value while ours is decreasing.
In Chapter’s 8 through 11 Dr. Grant writes about how our nation’s enemies are using our broken economic condition and the purposeful dismantling and decline of our military as the way to ultimately lead to our ruin and destruction as a super power government. But despite the bad news which needed to be written Dr. Grant offers sound advice as to how to prepare for the coming disaster and be able to survive it. It will be the worst of times to be sure but for those who are secure In Christ and are prepared they will be able to survive…survive the coming economic collapse, the “rise and fall of the Antichrist,” (and yes he is real and he is coming); and ultimately be able to live in the new America after the meltdown occurs. He explains that life will not be as we know it today and I agree with him, but those people who have prepared themselves for the coming changes in our nation and world, will as I stated before, be able to survive.
Dr. Grant concludes his book with 3 different Appendixes; Appendix A being about the intent of the Founding Fathers in establishing America as a nation, Appendix B reveals the fact that America’s past leaders had faith in God – although not necessarily what would be considered the same faith that fundamentalist evangelical Christians hold to; and Appendix C informs us about some of the futuristic high-tech devices that will be used in future warfare.
If you are at all concerned about the direction our country is heading, you will want to read this book. It is a well-written book with the facts appropriately documented so there can be no doubt as to what the truth is concerning the past of our country, our present as well as our future.

Eschatology/prophecy speaker and author Grant Jeffrey, in his final book titled “One Nation Under Attack” outlines what he affirms will be a coming economic collapse for the United States of America. Unless one has been living under the proverbial rock the past several years, it is quite evident America is in a financial crisis. Massive deficit spending combined with a weak economy and growing tension around the world has created an economic environment unseen since the Great Depression. Extended high unemployment, the rise of China as an economic power along with the inability of the United States government to get its fiscal house in order are just a few things that continually make front page news.
Jeffrey spends the majority of his book outlining in great detail the true debacle that is our current economic situation. Most Americans are completely unaware the true extent of the national debt as Congress and the White House has become quite adept over the years at “fuzzy math” to use a phrase from former President George W. Bush. Deficit spending has become a drug to which our government is addicted and Jeffrey makes this blazingly clear in his book.
One Nation Under Attack is a well-researched book and it is obvious Jeffrey is familiar with issues of economics and investments. Unlike many other books of this subject matter that are merely a partisan attack on the current administration, Jeffrey simply provides the economic facts to include what typically happens using history as a guidepost for nations that embrace the economic path our country is currently on. Just as the watchman on the wall of days gone by, Jeffrey is sounding the alarm. While it seems as if the leaders of our country are ignoring the results of their poor economic decisions, Jeffrey efforts through his book to make the American people aware of what will likely happen in the coming years unless drastic changes are made.
If I have any criticism about One Nation Under Attack it would be a disagreement with Grant Jeffrey’s eschatological framework, namely his dispensational approach to scripture. With that said, he does not spend a great deal of time engaging in a pre-tribulational rapture discussion of eschatology; conversely, he merely mentions what he believes will be the timeline of final world events as he closes out his book. Overall, this book is a reminder of our country’s drift away from the founding fathers adherence to God and Scripture as the guiding principles for our country. He concludes this excellent book with the salient reminder from 2 Kings 20:1: “Set thine house in order.” Unless America makes that effort, and it will take extraordinary measures to do so, there will be vast consequences that will go far beyond the economic issues outlined in Jeffrey’s book.

I just love his view on everything! The only reason it's taking me so long to read this is because I've been so busy. Otherwise I'd have already read this straight through! Great book! All his books are great!
