I came across this book whilst looking for something fresh for my Kindle. The title first caught my eye as I love anything to do with aliens and I'm intrigued about anyone's thoughts about the mystery behind Atlantis.

The preview to this book doesn't give it the justice it deserves though. Don't get me wrong, the first two chapters are good , fast-paced, filled with humour and action, but the story really gets going around chapter three. I especially love the twists in this book and there's lots of them, some I didn't see coming, and only made me eager to read on to find out the resolution.

The author here has done a good job linking religion and history to make it so that the theory behind Atlantis and its disappearance could have been plausible, albeit some suspension of belief as this is science fiction.

The descriptions are another thing I loved. There's enough description in this book to make it vivid for the reader without boring the reader with too much information that usually makes me want to skip a few pages.

I genuinely enjoyed this book. It has everything I look for in one: plenty of action and suspense, humour, great characters, a fresh twist on things, and character development. Never a dull moment. The only shame is that this seems to be the author's only work, meaning I'll have to wait until she writes something else. Definitely will be keeping an eye out for more.

My favourite author is Michael Crichton but as he is no longer with us I ventured further a field to find something that would satisfy my picky nature. I found this book purely by accident, as it was a free download on Amazon, so I thought why not? I found the plot interesting, not too much info dumping and a touch of humour. It wasn't too heavy like some science fiction that I have come across, all in all a good read. I'd recommend Atlantis Alien Empire, to anyone wanting something different.
