This is not a review! It's a note to myself! (on page 60)

So the last three "thrillers" I had read were incredibly boring, all of them scoring no more than 1/5 or 1.5/5 but all three from authors whose books I had previously really liked and given quite a high rating, so I really wasn't to know... The last one was particularly tedious as it was 600 pages long and incredibly boring but by the time I realised that it wasn't going to get any better I was so far into the book that I thought I might as well persevere and finish it - only to find that the ending was just as boring and stupid as the whole book, lol.

All this meant that I was a bit reluctant to start another book I wasn't too sure of, either. I had read and really liked one book by Polina Daschkova before but also remembered that I had to keep a names list to remember who's who, so that's a little tiresome. Anyway, on this cold and stormy day, I gave this thriller a good start and I must say: I do enjoy the book!

But I do need to keep my names list with names like "Anatoli Grigorjewitsch Krasawtschenko", "Pawel Wladimirowitsch Malzow", "Jelisaweta Palowna Beljajewa", etc. who are also sometimes mentioned with abbreviated versions of their names - but the story really is good and interesting (so far)! (on page 60)

On page 306: There are simply too many people involved at the different levels of this story and even though I'm still keeping my names list I sometimes get lost and don't know "who is who" any more...

I'm glad I finished this one and won't read another one - too "anstrengend"...
