They called him Levi the Leveler because of his frightening power. A terror in the boxing ring, most of his opponents didn't make it past the first round... and those who did lived to regret it. After a careless decision sends him to prison for seven years, Levi returns to a life in ruins: his fiance has split, his friends -- gone.
While struggling to pick up the pieces, Levi receives an inheritance from the mysterious figure known simply as K.S. He soon learns that the gift -- an antiquated lamp -- might just have bizarre supernatural powers. This inheritance, however, proves costly as a fearsome enemy now hunts him. Levi's boxing days might be behind him, but the most dangerous fight of his life lies ahead.
My name is Jason and I'm a screenwriter and novelist. I'm a regular working stiff who grew up in Music City (Nashville, TN), studied film in college and married young (we're still married, but now I’m old). We have an adopted son named Andrew, because that’s my middle name, because my father named me after Andrew Jackson, because he wanted me to be President. Sorry, Pops.
Hobbies include Jiu-Jitsu, theology and pretentious discussions in coffee shops. I also enjoy dressing like an author (for the uninitiated, this is jeans and a sport coat -- in any weather) to impress my six fans. I’m a philosophical minimalist and pet peeves include clutter, misusing the word “literally” and owning cats that can’t do tricks (you know who you are!).
Favorite authors are currently George Orwell, John Green and Hugh Howey (this changes frequently).
I'm currently working on a post-apocalyptic novel set a hundred years into the future called Westside Saga and culling together an academic work, tentatively titled God and the Skeptic: A Rational Inquiry, which I hope to keep under 1,000 pages.
Favorite quote: “Suspense comes from anticipation that’s mixed with uncertainty.”
