Singer in the Stone was a lyrical journey through the future, where there is no war, but everyone thinks the same and deals in nothing but facts. Dreams are dead, until the protagonist, Angelina, hears a cry for help from a Dreamer trapped in a stone. He has woken up from a deep, thousand-year sleep to come back and fill people's hearts with dreams, music, tales, once again. However, his journey is filled with difficulties as the Plain People are not so easily swayed.
