The is the tale of a cheeky little sod from Salford called Jason growing up surrounded by his properly funny and most definitely shameless family and his discovery that being funny might actually get him somewhere. Other than detention, mugged, dumped or sacked that is.It's about being part of a big, northern, working-class family forever struggling with money, but never short on laughs or misadventures, who show that when the chips are down what really matters is sticking together.

As you'd expect from one of the UK’s favourite stand up comedians, this is a highly amusing account of Jason Manford’s life story. Jason didn't have a privileged upbringing if you look at it from a materialistic point of view, but what he did have was a large, loving, and supportive family. It's not a laughs all the way story, Jason has had his share of 'lows' in his life, but it makes for an interesting read all the same.

Not gonna lie, I'm a LITTLE bit in love with Jason Manford at the mo and an insight into what made him who he is, was lovely. Not the laugh out loud nonsense I was expecting either but an actual look into growing up in a large working class family when times are hard.
As an aside, if your reading this love, I have tickets booked for January so don't die or anything okay?

Some parts I properly burst out laughing but it actually hand some profound thoughts among the funny tales of his life, I wish there was more about his career in comedy and less about his school years but an enjoyable read and gave me a good laugh

A few great stories that made me smile. It’s good to have someone is a celebrity, yet from a working class background, to remind others it’s not about where you’re from or your income, it’s about who you become and the amount of love you give others.

Jason Manford is one of my favourite comedians so I loved this book. He’s had an interesting life so it’s a great book to read and there are parts that made me laugh as much as I do watching his standup!
Loved it…if you like his humour you’ll live this book!

Funny and a light read. Partly insightful but keeping a lot of things private so only got to know him on a superficial level.

As I enjoy Jason Manford's comedy, I knew I would enjoy his biography. However, when I started reading I wasn't sure if I had made a mistake - I found it difficult to properly begin as I found there were many unnecessary jokes inserted everywhere. As I continued to read I put this down to nerves from writing his first book, because I ended up really loving it, and I would recommend it to comedy fans.

Funny read, not as enthralling as I thought it would be, but nice to have the background story on a comic I enjoy following.
