It was nice, I'm almost sorry for postponing it for so long.
But that bit at the end - that's a serious breach of trust. I expected a stronger reaction from Merlin.

Oddly enough, I found the whole rowing thing fascinating. More so than the relationship.
And I was thoroughly distracted by the fact they were always driving to Wallingford to go rowing. That's where I met and fell in love with my husband-to-be. So even though nothing happened between us while we were both there, I still go *squee* at the mention of Wallingford. Pretty town too.

I was totally keen on the ‘feel real’ vibe of this fanfic at the start with all the details of student life in Oxford/Cambridge campus. But then the rowing technicalities got in the way of the story and felt a bit too much. I like the ‘not easy, not perfect the first time’ love story nevertheless!
