Landreth is a Texas native and the eldest of four. She grew up in the small town of DeLeon. She was married to Darrell Landreth until his death in 2007. She has three children, Georgeanne, Marion and Stanton. She has written several books and award winning poems along with short stories.

16 years after a murder a guy returns to his hometown as an agent of the the Gov. to reevaluate the death of a young girl. While there he has to make-up with his parents and ex-girlfriend, all of whom seem to have information about the death.
