Sorimah Styles is the successful plus size baddie you wanted on your arm. Her beauty and confidence are unmatched. She maneuvers through life beating to her own drum with no regrets. That is however, until she has a one night stand that puts her on the radar of a man that’s wanted by many. Hendrix Mercer is the man you go to if you want to get noticed. He took being a videographer seriously and built a lucrative business from his talent. He’s also a faithful man that puts his family first. As a man, the expectations of him are high, but he’s a perfect imperfection that makes mistakes. There’s only a matter of time before you have to face what you’ve been avoiding. With Sorimah and Hendrix, that involves true happiness or temporary love. Sometimes you have to wait until it’s your turn to receive your blessing.
Can we get another round of applause 👏🏾 for Connie! Hendrix & Sorimah, Y U U U U P!!! Down to the way that they met, they were a match made in heaven! Their love was beyond beautiful, even their first encounter! I loved Sorimah, she owned being a bigger woman so well!
Now, I’m not saying that I’m happy with the outcome of what happened to Aviana, because of Akeera. Let’s be honest though, nothing would have changed if that wasn’t the outcome. Selfish didn’t begin to describe the type of person that woman was & no disrespect but I couldn’t believe that she wasn’t fighting this entire book.!
The characters were so well written, the story was beyond believable 😂! Very good 👍🏾.
More To Love is a standalone story about Sorimah and Hendrix. It has a few tropes; insta-love, close proximity, and workplace romance. I loved how confident and secure Sorimah was; my girl had her own bag, and the glitz and money did not impress her. Hendrix exudes BDE and I loved how honest he was. When Sorimah and her girls went out to celebrate a new business accomplishment, she met Hendrix. Immediately, Hendrix is intrigued, though he is in a long-term relationship. The instant attraction between the two was clear from the first moment. I liked that Sorimah played hard, as if she was not interested in Hendrix. However, he eventually made his way over to Sorimah and she could not deny the chemistry. This should have been a one-night stand but these two could not shake each other from their system. I was interested in seeing how things would go, since Hendrix was in an established relationship and Sorimah did not strike me as someone who would willingly be the “other woman”. Things took an interesting turn when Hendrix’s longtime girlfriend sought out nanny services from Sorimah’s company—how messy! The characters are in close proximity when Sorimah becomes the nanny for the family, unbeknownst to Hendrix. The new development started the unraveling of many lies and deceit. While working in the home, Hendrix and Sorimah could not keep their hands to themselves, and Aviana was digging her own hole. I loved that the author shined the spotlight on positive friendships and black men as fathers. Hendrix was everything when it came to his daughter and Aviana used that as fuel to play him. I felt like Hendrix and Aviana were both wrong and really stayed together for the child. The relationship was four years overdue. I liked the characters and the co-characters; everyone played a role in the story. The author developed the characters well and I could feel their conflict in the situation at hand. The flow of the story was good; I did have a few moments where I could not tell how much time had passed between the scenes. I also really felt that karma visited Aviana at the right time. I would have liked just a bit more about how her demise affected their child and Hendrix. It took work, but Hendrix and Sorimah got their happily ever after. I enjoyed this story and would recommend it!
I haven't read many books by this author. However, the three I have has been hitting. Hendrix was smitten. He was instantly drawn to Sorimah from the first moment he laid his eyes on her. If "moth drawn to a flame" was a person, Hendrix was that guy. Hendrix deserved real love because Aviana was messy. She could have "acted" like she cared about Hendrix and her child. She was living a life as if she were a single woman while enjoying the fruits of Hendrix laboring. Aviana had a "good" man all along, but she fumbled big time. Karma became her best friend when everything was exposed. I loved how Ri was her own boss while making her bag. She didn't need Hendrix for his finances she genuinely loved him for the person he was. Hendrix loved her and Akeera. Hendrix loved Akeera as if she were his own. His love for Akeera was unmatched. He loved hard, and it showed with Akeera and Sorimah. When a man knows that he has found his wife, he marks his territory immediately. Other relationships blossomed after Hendrix and Sorimah meeting. EJ and Dex had a strong connection building, too.
This is a magnificent BBW novel. If you are into BBW stories like I am, this read is for you. You will want to get into it.
Absolutely loved this sweet, sassy, and suspenseful page turner!
There were times I was really pulling for Sorimah and Hendrix's relationship. And at other times I wanted to choke both of them!!!
How could super successful Hendrix, allow his trifling girlfriend to blackmail him like that? I know he couldn't trust her to take good care of Akeera but there had to be other solutions. Negotiate a deal - she gets a monthly stipend and he gets custody of Akeera, HER daughter, who needed to be far away from that woman. After all Aviana was already stealing plenty of his millions! In addition, everyone else knew Aviana was cheating on him and yet he didn't have her followed. Why didn't he?
Now Sorimah had her stuff together: owned her own business and condo. But more than that she loved and treated Akeera like her own child.
Problem: She and Hendrix needed a crash course in communication. Would have prevented a lot of heartache.
This was a really good read and I would definitely recommend it. Sorimah was a bada$$ bbw who was on her boss status when she cross paths with a man that put her heart in a chokehold. Hendrix was stuck in a dead end relationship with Aviana because he has raised and been in her daughters Ameera life since she was a baby. Aviana was a selfish b$&@h who was only with Hendrix because of his bank account and used her daughter as a pawn against him to keep him from leaving their toxic relationship. Hendrix and Sorimah crossing paths turned out to be the best thing for both of them as well as little Miss Ameera they all ended up getting their happy ending and Aviana got a dose of karma that she couldn’t come back from..
You won't be disappointed reading this standalone, especially viewing a BBW with strong confidence. I enjoyed the concept, the characters were bosses and there wasn't any gang banging and slanging, they were just able to get their business out of the mud and were successful. Hendrix and Ri were meant for each other, not saying how they relationship came about was right, but it happened and Hendricks lady was not committed to him in no way shape or form, for that matter she didn't care about her own child.
Both Ri and Hendrix had supportive friends and family. I enjoyed the sisterhood that EJ and Ri had and Dex brotherhood with Hendrix was vital as well.
Loved the epilogue, in the end love conquered all! There were some characters that were trifling that didn't have a good ending, but their ending was well placed for sure!
This was my first time reading this Author. I enjoyed this story the characters worked my nerves a little bit, but overall it was good. Hendrix let himself get played a little to long for me. Avian a is evil and selfish and Karma was a b****. Workman was a loving and caring women who deserved to be loved by the right man. Sierra was a cutie pie and sweet girl. The ending was Beautiful. I hope Dexter and Dry may have a story next.
These characters were hella messy. The twists and turns in this story kept me flipping pages, unable to stop until I was completely finished. I loved how Hendrix was so intentional about Ri, and I loved Ri’s confidence, and warm spirit. What happened to Aviana was unexpected at the end. However, I understand why things happened the way they did. This was a great read.
I love a good BBW book, especially one on a confident big girl. Ri has such a beautiful beautiful soul for the rubbish she has been through. Hendrix, a alpha male with good intentions but fate is not having it lol. As for Avi, let’s not even go there. Akeerah is the sweetest little daddy’s girl and I adore their Relationship. And with ride and die’s like EJ, Dex and Daria, who needs any toxic people. Thoroughly enjoyed this one
I enjoyed More to Love so much! I need a Hendrix in my life! I just love Soriyah and the confidence she displayed throughout this whole book. The friendship that Ri had with Daria and her sister EJ was simply amazing. Hendrix was an amazing father to a daughter that wasn't his. He has a kind soul and heart. I'm a BBW and reading this book boosted my confidence in so many ways. I thank Ms. Easton for writing this book. It is so refreshing reading a book with a character just like me! This book is simply amazing!
I really enjoyed this story. I love the bond between Hendrix and Sorimah it was like they was made for each other. Aviana was something else and was selfish. I thought ending was good. Hopefully we get an update on them soon.
A good read, love the characters. Some stuff I couldn’t get with but the heart wants what it wants. Would have loved to hear more about EJ and Dex. Great job Connie Easton been a fan of your for a year now.
Ms. Easton has done it again! I truly enjoyed Hendrix and Sorimah's story. I was glad Akeera got to go back to her dad. I couldn't be upset when karma finally came for Aviana. She did so much dirt and used her baby for gains only. She didn't show that baby no type of love so I'm glad she had Hendrix. I would like to read more about EJ and Dex though. EJ seemed like she may have a story to tell as well😉
Oh my goodness this book was so good. I loved how Hendrix loved on Sorimah. He knew that she was it but his heart was torn between his baby girl. Happiness wins in the end!!
Hendrix an Ri had unconventional start, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Fate and Karma stepped in to make love happen. Had little sympathy for Avi and glad everything worked out for Princess!! EJ and Daria was a great support system for Ri
Now at first it started off slow but eventually picked up Hendrix finally found what was meant for him now he also has the chance to have child of his own blood line...
I really enjoyed two sisters and best friend now only Daria needs to find happiness...
But in the end his ex did get her karma and his wife probably not going to do no time because of what she did before that caused the chase in first place...
But now her daughter actually has mom who actually will love her ...
This was my first read by this author but definitely not my last. I really loved this book. I loved Hendrix and Sorimah. This is most definitely a must read. It was good from the beginning. Connie I look forward to reading all your books.
Wow, I just love these stories!!! A BBW winning!!! I could feel the love from these two. Aviana is a poor excuse for a mother but never saw that ending for her though. Love the vibes from the supporting characters. Another banger for Ms Easton!
This was my first book by Ms Easton. Ri was not confident in her situationship with Hendrix who was being played for a fool and most around him knew this. I didn't see the love connection between the two and the story seemed to be missing something. The love in this book was very controlled and I just didn't like that.
I enjoyed this story and the easy relationship Hendrix and Sorimah seemed to have from hello. There was some drama within the story and some karma got served up cold but a certain gold digging girlfriend but the unconventional love with Hendrix and Sorimah was cute. I really would like to discuss this gold digger because she had some extreme audacity but I don’t want to provide any spoilers. I liked how Hendrix and Sorimah seemed to be a perfect match and how they both challenged the other when they were acting a little crazy even if they did end up giving in to the other. I loved how Hendrix was with Akeera and treated her like a princess so that she didn’t seem to miss out on the absence of her bio parents. I look forward to what comes next from this author.
I have never rooted for someone to get together like I did for Hendrix and Sorimah…the attraction was there for the first eye contact. They tried to fight it, cheating is wrong yes but I was okay with this one 🤣🤣🤣. Hendrix was definitely possessive but he was a provider and no matter what was loyal by default. When he loved he loved hard and Aviana did not deserve him at all. It was sad to see what happened to Aviana but she didn’t care about anyones feelings but herself and that was sad. This was my first book from this author and I definitely plan on reading more.
That was a really good love story! Hendrix was a really great man and deserved better. Him and Akeera. One night at a club and love was found, yessss Sorimah get your man!,,
I have ro say this is one of the BEST BOOKS I'VE READ in a long time. Well written!!! The flow was perfect. I love Hendrix & Ri. I love the relationship the two of them developed. I hope they Ri & Ej parents come around!! I've got to read more by this author 🥰🥰🥰
I enjoyed this read! Ri and Hendrix had an instant attraction and it went from there. Avi was very selfish, didn’t even have time for her precious daughter whom Hendrix adored beyond measure. He was very honest and Avi was the opposite! I knew Avi would meet her karma and love prevailed as always!
