Born in 1967 in what was then Czecho-Slovakia, Peter Šulej later studied computer science at university in Kosice. His poetry books include the First Triology: Porno (1994), Cult (1996), and Pop (1998), as well as the Blue Trilogy: Return of the Great Romantic (2001), Archetypal Summer (2003), and End of the Blue Period (2008). He also authored two collections of sci-fi stories: Mission (1995) and Electronic Cafe (2001). His poetry has been translated into many European languages. Šulej is proprietor of publishing house Drewo a srd, editor in chief of the quarterly review of contemporary art Vlna, and co-organizes Bratislava's international poetry festival Ars Poetica. He lives in Bratislava.
