Psihologinja Tomica Šćavina povezuje psihologiju i duhovnosti propitujući granice naših životnih uvjerenja kako bi nas potakla na promjene u razmišljanju i doživljavanju svijeta.
Tomica Šćavina was born in 1975, she is a Croatian writer and poet. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her first novel, A Ship for Lajka has been shortlisted for the VBZ Prize for Best Unpublished Novel, and her second novel, The Return of a Genius, brought her two prizes, Sfera and Artefakt. Her third novel A Room at the Bottom of the Sea, with a working title Healing Dictionary, was also shortlisted for the above-mentioned VBZ Prize.
She has published a book of poetry The Ornaments of a Fall and two children stories – The Tamer of Clouds and The Love Legend.
Šćavina teaches the Psychology of Creativity course and Psychology of Characters course at Vern University in Zagreb and leads a creative-psychological workshop Beyond Writing at Centre for Creative Writing in Zagreb. She is a member of the Croatian Writers’ Society and a member of the Croatian Freelance Artists’ Association.
Knjiga je uistinu skup eseja koji u stvari prate neku osnovnu nit, nisu onako raštrkani bez smisla i reda. Većinu stvari koje autorica navodi većina nas u sebi to već zna, ali nam često trebaju poticaji izvana da te neke problematične strane nas samih preispitamo i počnemo raditi na njihovoj promjeni. Meni osobno je najviše odgovaralo poglavlje-esej "U fokusu".
