Sequel to "Ambush" and "Payback" Miles Winter and Zeke Roswell have excited and enthralled each other since the day they met. Zeke's uninhibited lovemaking has allowed Miles to grow in confidence and their relationship to deepen. Back from a business trip, Miles knows he should take care of his backlog of work, but the delight of being reunited with Zeke makes him realize he has other, more important needs-including the one sexual step he hasn't yet taken. Business can wait in favor of a commitment far more primal and more permanent.
Clare took the pen name London from the city where she lives, loves, and writes. A lone, brave female in a frenetic, testosterone-fuelled family home, she juggles her writing with her other day job as an accountant. She’s written in many genres and across many settings, with award-winning novels and short stories published both online and in print. She says she likes variety in her writing while friends say she’s just fickle, but as long as both theories spawn good fiction, she’s happy. Most of her work features male/male romance and drama with a healthy serving of physical passion, as she enjoys both reading and writing about strong, sympathetic and sexy characters.
Clare currently has several novels sulking at that tricky chapter 3 stage and plenty of other projects in mind . . . she just has to find out where she left them in that frenetic, testosterone-fuelled family home.

There are no more!! Where will I get my Miles and Zeke fix from now?!
Love these guys. These novellas: Ambush, Payback, and Switch are basically like one longer story cut into three. They're not really standalone since they all make reference to events that happen within each of them.
3.85 stars Okay well this is sexy stuff, I love Zeke and Miles, what a beautiful, intense and erotic pair they are. Smart and insanely romantic, another great part to the series.

This short story is the third and final short story sequel to London's 2009 novel True Colors. I've already reviewed Ambush (reviewed here) and Payback (here), and would recommend reading them before tackling Switch. You don't really need to have read the original novel to enjoy the shorts, however, as everything you need to know about Zeke and Miles is recapped in the first third of Ambush.
Switch is an intense story with a tightly focused sense of time and place, just like the previous two shorts. This time, however, we don't join the boys in Miles' office but in a limo, supposedly taking Zeke back to his gallery after he's had a quick catch up meal with Miles. The action takes place a few weeks after the events in Payback, and Miles has just returned from a business trip to Europe so he could make it to the opening night of Zeke's latest show. Both men should be working, but while they catch up in the back of the limo, it soon becomes clear that there are things they'd much rather be doing. Miles has a proposition for Zeke: he's finally ready to bottom for him.
The two men head back to Miles' apartment so that Zeke can oblige Miles in more comfortable surroundings. However, they don't get too hot and heavy too fast. Instead, Zeke wants to hear about Miles' reactions to his gallery show. While we don't get to see the two men in the gallery, you get an excellent sense of the exhibition and its impact through Miles' recollections, and I thought this was a really clever way of handling it. A protracted gallery scene at the beginning would have diluted the intensity of the story, but to have Miles give us the highlights while lying naked with Zeke was a masterful idea. Zeke has a tender brand of erotic torture he employs while getting Miles to talk.
Switch is a less overtly erotic book than the previous two shorts. Yes, there is sex and yes, it's hot, but the focus here is on trust and feelings--the bond that has formed between the two men. They are finally at a place where they can declare exactly how they feel for each other, and their lovemaking consummates that new awareness and honesty. As always, Clare London excels at mapping out the human heart, and at creating appealing characters who interact in a totally believable way.
The power play between the two men finally reaches a balance in this book. Zeke may be the one taking control, but he does it with total surrender to Miles' needs. I felt a wonderful sense of closure on this series, and that I could now leave these two characters safe and secure together. That's not to say I wouldn't be interested in reading any more follow ups in the future, but there's a definite resolution here.
Anyone who's been following the series will want to read this story already, but I hope I've convinced someone reading that they're worth a chance. The series has gone from strength to strength as Clare London's writing has grown ever more assured. Definitely recommended.
In 'Switch' by Clare London, Miles and Zeke continue to up the ante when it comes to passion and commitment. Considering their rocky start, they've come incredibly far in developing their burgeoning relationship by finding ways to incorporate each other into the occupations that are so much of a part of who they are, forming another bridge between them. Now that those boundaries are sufficiently blended, it's time for another change - one which will put them on even footing in a different way entirely. It's time for a reversal of roles, a switch.
I know I've said this before but Clare is necessitating that I say it again: I wouldn't have believed that there was any way to make Miles and Zeke's lovemaking any hotter. But by deepening their feelings, combining their love for each other, their passion and desire, and their willingness to be everything to each other, Clare has managed to turn the heat up yet again. I'm surprised they don't burn holes in their beds with the enormous amount of energy they create every time they make love. I'm in awe of their ability to blend together on every level. They take my breath away! Their yearning to truly understand each other, to make sure the other knows how cherished and desired they are is palpable. Miles and Zeke know that for a relationship to last there is no halfway. They are two extraordinary, talented, determined men, in love as in life, it's all or nothing. I say more power to them!
'Switch' is book four in the 'True Colors' series. It can be read alone, but so much would be missed. To enjoy it completely, it's best to first read the other three books in the series. It will be time well spent. I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to enjoy a very romantic, passionate love story about two very sexy, determined men. Thanks, Clare! I don't know if my heart can take another one, but I certainly do love reading about Miles and Zeke and will continue to do so as long as you present us with their stories.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Clare London’s ‘True Colors’ series. I love the emotional connection and the sizzling hot chemistry the two heroes, Miles and Zeke, have together. I also enjoy the ongoing banter, and easy and sometimes not-so-easy conversations they have together, and I REALLY love it when each man shows their vulnerable side to just each other….it’s so darn sexy!
In Switch, Miles has just returned just in time from a week long business trip to see Zeke’s art showing. The men are both exhausted, and Miles is convinced he stills need to go to his office and finish the job he’s been working on. As they chat and sit, Miles realizes that Zeke is intensely sketching and he discovers that it’s him that Zeke is drawing. This makes Miles realize how much they both missed each other and how much both of them really need to spend some quality time together. Miles loves Zeke so much, he finds himself wanting to allow Zeke to make love to him, and sets out to convince Zeke that it’s time for them to take a sexual role reversal so Miles can truly show Zeke of his devoted love.
I loved this book! Of course, the sex between Miles and Zeke is incredibly hot and sensual. But, I also love the obvious love that flows between them. You get the impression that these two are not only sharing their bodies with each other, but their heart and soul too. Ms. London definitely knows how to write beautiful and provocative sex scenes that never fails to steam up my ereader while I’m reading it. She also really knows these characters so well, that they live and breathe off of the written page. I hope that she continues to write about Miles and Zeke and I pray that one day she’ll grace all of us with another full-length novel of them.
Although Switch could easily be read as a stand-alone book, I highly recommend that the True Color books be read in series order. This way you can really understand the true and amazing dynamics between the two characters. I love this series and I can’t wait to read more of it. Highly Recommended!
NB - this review also covers Ambush and Payback, the previous two True Colors sequels.
Taken together these three shorts have a complete arc, showing the deepening of Miles and Zeke's relationship after the drama of True Colors has come to an end. However, they are also each a sexy and satisfying erotic short story in their own right.
The first two books are both set in Miles' office after hours, and feature Zeke and then Miles taking it in turns to dominate the other. There's a frisson of bondage in the first (although nothing more shocking than a pair of handcuffs), but Miles confines his domination to verbal commands. The action sizzles with passion and a healthy side-order of kink, but that's not all that you'll find here. There's a definite strand of emotional growth and togetherness that runs through both stories, and culminates in the third.
Switch sees the two lovers abandon their working lives to return to Miles flat, as Miles has finally decided he wants Zeke to top him. This time the sexy stuff is shot through with even more loving awareness, and it forms a really satisfying and heart-warming end to the series.
Although these three shorts are probably best read after the novel, Clare doesn't assume you'll have read it first, and includes everything you need to know about their prior relationship in the first book. So there's no excuse not to go and buy them right now, you hear me?!
If you read True Colors and the subsequent shorts, Ambush and Payback, you know that Miles Winter and Zeke Roswell have a smokin’ hot sex life. You also know that Miles has always topped Zeke. So, given the title of this particular short, you know that is about to change. Another very hot, well done short story with some sweetness sprinkled on top. Nicely done.
I love how this completed the story arc - the three books are like literary booty calls :-) but they complement and complete the main book, True Colors. I really enjoyed all 4 in the series.... If Clare ever wanted to, she'd be a great art gallery director ! I could see the displays - really well written!
I love getting to read these short stories after True Colors. This one was especially smokin' hot and sexy and also so romantic and great. Love this, definitely could keep reading about Miles and Zeke.
Miles returns after a week long trip, just in time to attend Zeke's latest gallery show. He realizes just how much he has missed Zeke and decides to share all of himself with Zeke. I know this explanation sounds too clinical, so you'll just have to read it to find the romance.
YES!!! Its about time Zeke got to be in the drivers seat. I just knew that Miles would love it when he finally let him self relax and actually enjoy it. And finally Miles told Zeke that he loved him back! I so can not wait to read the next book.
More Zeke and Miles as their relationship progresses. I loved watching these guys grow closer and more important to each other with every snippet. I'm really hoping for more.
