My T-Rex Has a Toothache was a clever story to me that I thought the author did a good job in connecting with children by making the story about a toothache. Every child goes through that stage of loosing their teeth and this story is actually about a child who owns a T-Rex who has a toothache. So throughout the story the T-Rex is going through the normal symptoms of toothache and finally gets to the point where he can't take it no more. The T-Rex Roars out the tooth. Moreover, This authors illustrations helped tell the story because a child would enjoy seeing the detailed work of the T-Rex that helped show its emotion and the relative size difference between the two. For example, The story pictures a T-Rex who is ten times the size of the boy is his pet, while the expressions on the dinosaurs face help show how much pain he is in. Nevertheless as good as the job was done on the images of the book also high interactive part that can really engage the mind of a young adolescence. The book has a part where the T-Rex is roaring which can be used to bring children in to the story and get them to roar along as well. Furthermore, My T-Rex has a toothache is a book that brings together an everyday problem for children and makes it humorous and easy for children to read and understand.
Very cute story with terrific artwork and great use of verse. A dino in toothache torment and a boy looking for help with a cure. Adults are just scared off and the boy finally comes up with the perfect solution. Can't think of a reason any child would not enjoy this story and the striking and whimsical pictures. Kudos to the author and illustrator👍👍
I have well over a dozen grandchildren and read these to each of them and they love them. I love them too because they're handy on my phone and they don't take hours to read. The pictures are great and colorful and the kids can identify with each of the things in these books. Toothaches, sneezing ect...
I have read many of these books! This series is so excellently written and illustrated that children will want to read this book over and over. I highly recommend this book for all parents too!! Why should children have all the fun??? Read and enjoy. You will be the one reading it over and over!
Okay, this is my first review of a children's book. I have to say it was quite enjoyable and cute! My four-year-old son was sold once he saw the dinosaur on the cover :) He really did enjoy it; having me read it to him several times.
Loved how overall its trying to solve a problem. He refuses to quit until the problem is solved. He asks so many adults but, receives no answers. So he solved the problem himself. Great book. Teaches a lot.
4yr old remembered this book from last year and is now fave
She loves it so much and remembered the title and requested it after not reading for a year. A big hit since she was two!! Now she is four....Great series
A fun book for kids to read. The pictures are cool to look at. The only thing that I didn’t like is the font in some of the pages because it was a little overwhelming for my child to read. Other than that we really liked the book!
This book it's wonderful! Great artwork & the story is entertaining & easy for kids to read & follow. I'll definitely be getting more of this author's books for my kids!
My six year (who had been crying moments before) could not stop laughing at the silly and funny things that happen in this book! Even better, he can relate because HE has two loose, wiggly teeth right now too!
My 2 year old actually looked at the pictures and laughed with this one! He told me what was going on in the pictures etc. So it was nice to see he really enjoyed the book he chose himself from the picture suggestions! 😂
Great little story and rhymes. Makes you smile as you read it to your captivated child. I really enjoyed the pictures as well. Makes you talk afterwards about how to take care of a dinosaur
I read this to my students while teaching abroad. They loved the illustrations and the musical tone of the story. Definitely recommend it to any parent, teacher, babysitter or fan of vividly impressive adorable children’s books!
This is a fun book that will lend itself to interactive play while at the same time teach listening for common endings using rhyme. There are lots you can teach with this. The best thing however is that it is fun!
This series by Tate is cute and entertaining. He cleverly sets up the next book in the series at the end of the current story. Usually that would bother me but he does it in a way that is fun and whimsical.
Very cute children’s book. My five year old girl says “I like that book. I want to keep it! Keep keeps keep. Dinosaurs are cool and fierce—like me! I’m cool and fierce.”
These dinosaur books are so fun and cute to read with my Daughter ❤️ She always asks for them to be read, whether in order or not, anytime in the day and as many times as possible ❤️ Great interaction types books, too, so she can read and roar along ❤️
The T-rex had a tooth ache that nothing seemed to help. Finally the little kid comes up with a solution that works great. Read Down State's My T-rex Has A Toothache to find out the solution.
Cute lovely story A kid's dinosaur has a toothache and the dentist and the kid's teacher were no help. How does the kid help his dinosaur? Lovely illustrations and cute rhyming fun tale. Kids would love to read it. (Me too.)
My child enjoyed this book, he can't wait for me to read the second book. It is an easy read and catches my 5 year old's attention from beginning to end.
