Dear Author,
The boss was called away for the day and asked me to step in and interview some new contractors. This one pressed all the right buttons and we ended up on the couch in my boss's office. Then guess who walks in....

This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Love is Always Write" event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo and prompt that spoke to them and wrote a short story.

Hmm, this really didn't work for me. I was really into it in the beginning but then it just fell short.   I think my biggest problem was Zach, the MC. He seemed a little too picky and whiny for someone who was allowed to be the 3rd in a standing relationship. I really liked Jack and Taylor and their banter. I would defiantly love to read a story about them! Although I would probably still have a problem because I didn't care for the spanking either. Tears and snot are just not sexy to me!

The writing was good; I just didn't care for some of the content.

This was a 4 star read for me until I got to the end. The protags intrigued me and the sex scene was hot but I felt Jack's insistence that Zach must keep things totally & completely secret from everybody puts him firmly as a plaything instead of part of a relationship. For me this didn't even feel like a HFN (as far as a relationship goes) much less a HEA. Those couple of sentences really ruined the feel of the story for me. However, that's just my personal opinion and may not bother others. Overall though it's a good story.

1.5 stars So, maybe it's my fault, because I'm not generally into menage books anyway. But this had a little bit of an emotional disconnect for me. It was a little too clinical in describing the initial sex scene (I didn't finish to get to the second one) without enough descriptors of how Zach actually felt, not just what he though about the situation.

And as far as the BDSM aspect... I'm all for fun and light sex scenes, but given the nature of the situation I thought it needed to be more serious. This was his first time, and one second Jack is giving an order, than Tay is making a joke and Jack just rolls his eyes. And Zach was back-talking all over the place, he never seemed appropriately submissive (neither did Tay for that matter). I guess I felt like they needed to set clearer boundaries.

And like Zach, I also thought he felt like a third wheel. Jack and Tay were adorable, but Zach felt out of place to me and he didn't really add anything to the story except some whining. So anyway, just didn't work for me.

The story was good and definitely hot; Jack, Taylor and Zack were a trio of way too much. But, I think Zack may have been a little bit spoiled. His personality screamed it. He "had standards"; he wouldn't work anywhere that had "homphobic assholes on its payroll." The time to "settle down was when he was tired of having fun." Well, when it came down to crunch time and he was given the rules about what was expected of him, he was angry because what was going on didn't really include him. But why should it have? He was going to be a "new boy" or new "submissive" and he wanted that without going through the motions; just having it magically happen for him. I guess, the whole point of this is to say, I liked Taylor and Jack, but Zack was too whiny for me. It didn't make the story any less good, he just was. Other than that, it was a good read. Pretty sexy actually.

The author chose an incredibly difficult scenario to tackle, and in my opinion, nailed it! If you don't like BDSM and/or menage situations, skip it. If you're ok with it, I think you'll love this short. It's thoughtful, fun, as well as hot and kinky.
Young Zach only ever fantasized about submission, fantasized about his boss Jack. Then one evening, when given a golden opportunity to step up to the plate at work and impress Jack, Zach's manipulated into a scene involving The Man himself and his bratty sub! How does Jack handle it? What does Zach do? And Taylor, the brat, can I have him? Please?

I really like the way Davitt addresses the 'third wheel' issue in a menage. The solution still leaves me feeling slightly tense and uncomfortable: if I was Zach I'd be a bit more pissed off. I guess I just prefer true love stories, and this seems more like animal physical attraction. Still a very well-constructed story with great characters and believable dialog (not always achieved in D/s stories!)

I don't feel as if the emotional hesitation and bid for inclusion were ever fully resolved. The confession to feeling like garnish wasn't answered satisfactorily.

Physically the bond is there, satisfying each other's kink I suppose, but even Jack's description of the foundational relationship left be a bit cold. Not enough emotion.

Plus, I don't know how I feel about having to hide a relationship. Still a bit on the outside, isn't he?

A little slice of reading heaven! Menage and BDSM are two of my favorite genres, but combined in a free read, wow:) I loved the feeling of authenticity I got from reading this story – the tangled emotions of a third person (Zach) entering the equation of an established relationship between Jack and Taylor; Zach’s reactions to the kinky play and Jack honing in on what really made Zach tick. Yummy! After reading a couple of her prior books, this author is among my favorites and I’ll automatically read anything she writes. Loved it (and I want more of these 3 guys) – thank you so much!!!

This story involves a threesome in which the third is added to an existing relationship. I don't mind menage stories but this senario is always difficult for me to enjoy. I would much rather read the story of Jack and Taylor instead of a menage story involving Zach. I loved Taylor. He was funny, naughty bottom - the best kind.

I'm on a roll reading m/m with BDSM currently. Unfortunately this one didn't mesh so well for me--there was a bit too much fun and fluff for the topic and setting. Maybe I shouldn't have read this so shortly after two of Kim Dare's novels either.

Interesting beginning, but the spanking was a little over-the-top for me and the whole story contained definitely too much talking. The character I liked the most actually was Taylor, so it didn't quite work out for me, because he was too passive. Also the ending was somewhat cut short. I would have preferred a Flash Forward to see if how their relationship worked out.

BDSM not my jam, but having a dom like Jack…a boss in and out of the bedroom. Taylor was cool and I liked Zach, but a bit whiny. The heat was scorching.

Zach works for Jack. Jack is in a serious D/s relationship with Taylor. The guys share a smoking hot three-way scene and consider entering a menage in this adept shortie by Davitt. This is a fun, free read but it really begs for a sequel to ensure that things work out for Zach. He's been directed to keep the relationship a secret, harbors fears of being a third wheel and has the most to lose emotionally. We think that Jack and Taylor mean well but we want more for Zach. I've given a lower rating than I'd like because of these issues which have no resolution here. Davitt gives us three likable and intriguing guys -- I just want to know more about them. Sequel please.

I enjoyed most of this story. It is almost one long scene, with some parts that were hot as hell, and parts that were just a bit so so for me namely the spanking scene). Zach did come across as a bit whiney at times, but I think that is mostly due to his age and maturity level. Taylor and Zach were great together. I would love to read a back story on their relationship and maybe even one in the future showing how these three are making out.

All the characters are hot - Jack, Taylor and Zach - and their chemistry is obvious and played out with a good story. The ending was a little disappointing (ending with Zach agreeing to a secret relationship with the two other men as it seemed a bit clinical after their passionate scene) however still a good story.
Will definitely be checking out other books by this author based on this short story.

Deal with BDSM, domestic discipline and bratty sub. If it's not your think you're not going to like this one. Luckily for me, I love that.

I'd put the ending in the HFN with possibility of HEA, but I'm not very sure if they can work it together. Maybe with a sequel because as for now it's let me the impression of Zack being their living sexdoll.

Seriously hot short read with some great characters. I love a lippy bottom and Taylor is downright delightful. If you're not into bdsm/spanking this probably isn't for you, but, good lord, I enjoyed it.

I wanted to like this more than I did, given the subject matter. Perhaps I needed it to be longer. I think Taylor was too much and Jack, not enough. The situation was a bit strained. I'm not a huge fan of menage, although I've read some that works well.

Zach is in lust with his boss, and one night gets involved in a threesome with said boss and his sub. I usually like this author's books, but not this one so much. There was no real chemistry between them, the sub was annoying and the boss seems a cold bastard. So this one was a big miss for me.
