Book 1 has anecdotes told by the author of his experiences by both himself and the various characters he meets in the N.T. An ok read.
Book 2 relates the stories of 2 men and their families who trek to the outback to set up their own sheep stations in the 1920's. How they thought it was a good idea beats me with the experiences they went through in achieving their "dream"! One wife left, the other stuck it out. A different time!
