What an odd little book. In-between assorted folk music you’ll find musings on how to make a banjo head from a groundhog hide and how to catch a catfish using just your hands. I’m definitely intrigued and will keep it in my collection, at least until I can harvest some creasy greens (Winter Cress/ Barbarea verna) and make the Insalata Di Barbarea mentioned on page 46!

This is an entertaining collection of bluegrass and stories. The lyrics are intelligent and the historic tales are great. This is great for listening.
