Learn how to obtain financial freedom through real estate. The final book in Gary Keller's national best-selling Millionaire Real Estate Investor trilogy teaches the proven, reliable real estate investing process to achieve financial wealth:
1. Find - the right property for the right terms and at the right price.
2. Analyze - an offer to make sure the numbers and terms make sense.
3. Buy - an investment property where you make money going in.
4. Manage - a property until it's paid for or you have a large amount of equity to leverage.
5. Grow - your way to wealth and financial freedom.
For someone that's just getting into real estate investment, I found this book very informative. It walks you through the entire process and makes you aware of all of the pieces that need to come together to be successful. If you are already a rental property owner, I'm not sure how helpful this book will be for you. There are also some great worksheets that you can download to determine if a property is right for you.
A really great book about the concept of buy and hold real estate investing. The authors do a great job of establishing tangible strategies to follow. The prequel, The Millionaire Real Estate Investor, focused a lot on mindset and I feel that this one focused much on tangible strategies. Really a guide to take someone who knows nothing about real estate and walking them through the deals. I think this is quite close to actual technique without executing a deal yet. A tremendous book that I will reference again.
The information was solid, but, what a stupid system, man. The authors recommend buying and renting real estate to everyone but like, this cannot go on ad infinitum, or else all houses would be purchased and there'd be nobody left to rent to. The system is built upon owners and renters, the owners growing their wealth, the renters burning theirs in order to live... this is poopy. Poopy system alert
"Ninety percent of all millionaires become so through owning real estate." ANDREW CARNEGIE
"A cardinal rule is not to buy a property hoping it will appreciate and become a good deal; you buy because it’s already a good deal. The successful investor always makes her money going in."
"It is far better to miss ten great investment properties than it is to buy one bad one"
"It’s cash flow first, appreciation second, and tax benefits last"
"If you can’t sell a property tomorrow for more than you bought it for today, don’t buy it."
For the average person, this book is filled with awesome info. I’m a realtor that primarily works with investors and have already owned a rental property before so for me, a lot of this information wasn’t new. It was still a great read and I highly recommend the entire Millionaire Real Estate series!
Truly inspiration and information that is transformative. The HOLD strategy is truly a secret to success. Achieve a higher level of success in business and life! Karen Briscoe, author & podcast "5 Minute Success"
Very basic real estate book, glosses over most details, just very general, nothing new. There are much better books to spend your time on if you want to learn about real estate investing. Start with Schaub's Building Wealth One House at a Time.
One of the simplest and best real estate books I have ever read! I still use the spreadsheets provided to analyze my deals over 5 years later. Thank you!
I read this book from front to back. They give great information. They have worksheets to print out from their website. An excel spreadsheet as well. I have no complaints. I am going to be doing Rental Investment and this will be the book to use as reference.
This is actually my second book from this series. I read the first one called FLIP. Another awesome book.
I don't want to make this a long review. If you are interested in joining a team you can connect with me at www.LifeonBreak.com/simon
The bummer about these types of books is that the information can be outdated within a year or two. It was a decent read for someone who is thinking of getting into investing and hasn't even purchased a home yet. Really elementary information, basic hunting skills, financing skills etc. Picked up a few great rules of thumb, however.
Excellent book on investing in Real Estate focusing on the first purchase... strong models, great examples and tools. If you are going to invest, buy this book... it will save you money in the long run. That, and its a relatively easy read.
While the other two books I read were more focused on dealing with tenants or building a large base, this one focused almost entirely on the why and how of investing in houses with the idea of holding them for a while.
