Wheat LESS A Guide to a GLUTAN-Free Life by @ryan_nutrition_coach does more than just set forth a simple gluten-free diet. It aids the reader's comprehension of how gluten functions and how those of us who are allergic to it are affected by it. It warns readers about the "hidden gluten" used in food processing and found in everyday goods like glue and soap. Finally, it teaches the reader how to "gluten-proof" their diet by planning gluten-free meals for dining at home and out while still pleasing non-gluten-free family members and friends.

I have to admit that with the little time I have to read, I aspire to finish a text and feel at the very least adequately informed, and this work certainly lives up to my expectations. I was unaware of how little I understood about gluten, how it affected my health, and why that was bad. Knowledge is power, but I was also ignorant of possible challenges, such as the possibility of depression, frequent respiratory infections, delayed puberty, and memory and concentration problems for people who must limit their gluten intake. Knowledge is power.

This is so much to learn in this book. Let's say for example the author explained the variety and origin history of wheat is one of the important and interesting aspects Of this book. Key takeaways at the end of the chapters in the form of bullet pointers make it more accessible and moving.

With the help of this simple guide, you can identify your gluten sensitivity, alter your diet to one that is gluten-free, and start feeling better and losing weight.

-Is Gluten the sugar of our generation?-

The non-fiction afficionados must remember a striking line from the global bestseller of Yuval Noah Harari, The Sapiens; Yuval mentions that it wasn't humans who domesticated wheat but the other way round.

Ryan, a celebrity nutrition coach (associated with Virat Kohli, Shahid Kapoor etc), in his book underlines the nefarious role gluten, the protein intrinsic to wheat, might play in deteriorating your health. Everything from adult acne to brain fog, gluten is responsible for many a problems.
Ryan mentions the continuous hybridization of wheat as the root cause why gluten is becoming the sugar of our generation.

Traditionalists may scoff at blaming wheat but the reviewer himself has benefitted from reducing wheat to thrice a week. Ryan recommends trying out eliminating wheat for 21 days and then observe the benefits. If positive, the individual may extend it to 90 days. He also encourages the people to go for a genetic testing. People who aren't gluten intolerant may be gluten sensitive.

I recommend trying out this regime as I personally have seen the benefits.

Ryan passionately presents his belief regarding the toxicity of gluten, supported by scientific evidence where available. He eloquently argues that dietary changes are often more psychological than physiological challenges. Drawing parallels to religious dietary restrictions, he highlights the steadfast resistance individuals and families may face in adhering to nutritional advice. Ryan provides numerous examples spanning various age groups, emphasizing the potential benefits of temporarily eliminating gluten to gauge its effects. This compelling narrative comes from a well-informed nutritionist deeply committed to his beliefs and practices in the field.

This book as mentioned in the content itself is based on clinical trials of the author rather than statistical data but I believe his firm belief on gluten as a villian will soon be an acceptable fact by the Indian masses.
