Although shelved under romance--I found it more of crime mystery although there was romance. Daphne is a former FBI agent who is now a PI. Starting off on one job, she continues her investigations when it appears to her that her employer was murdered. The cops do not agree.

Wraps up rather conveniently but kept my interest throughout the book. I usually like epilogues however this seemed to be more of a quick wrap. I wish there were better editors...some of the statements were repetitive--I got the point that Daphne has hang-ups!

I remember enjoying reading the first two books about spies by Jacey Ford in high school and college. I enjoyed this one, too, but not as much. It was your standard romance-with-a-bit-of-action. The plot was a bit "meh" for me, but I'd read another on the subway if there were to be a follow up. If you're looking for a quick read that's heavy on the romance, this one's for you.
