Learn economics through real business examples.
Hubbard/O'Brien explains the basics of economics by demonstrating how real businesses use economics to make real decisions everyday. This is something all readers can connect to, as they encounter businesses in their daily lives. And regardless of future career path-opening an art studio, doing social work, trading on Wall Street, working for the government, or bartending at the local pub-readers will benefit from understanding the economic forces behind their work.

Pretty terrible book, especially how Pearson's e-reader formats it. It's also has some of the worst morals I've ever seen. It asks, "What if Scrooge never changed?" in A Christmas Carol. Spoiler: better for the economy no matter if Tiny Tim dies terribly and Scrooge remains miserable and unloved. It's pretty propagandistic about capitalism and entrepreneurs. In short it's a petty, biased book whose message is, "The poor should die so the economy can be better off".

Boring and complicated for the non-economic person.

Nice coverage, especially of monetary and fiscal policies. Little light covering inflation unemployment and just one chapter. I still recommend it.

Actually reading the 4th ed. Find the info presented in a clear, well illustrated fashion. informative graphs supplant the text well.

I didn't enjoy it because I find the subject matter boring. It is probably a great book if you are interested in the subject. I had to read it for a class requirement for a business degree.
