When a chain of kinky deaths starts to look like murder and disturbing evidence points to a ruthless vigilante, assistant district attorney Kathryn Mackay confronts the toughest challenge of her career
This is the first book of Christine McGuire that I have read and I must admit that I enjoyed the book a lot. I enjoy murder mysteries. I enjoyed the book immensely. I would have liked to read the Kathryn MacKay books in order but I just decided on this book when choosing a new author that I haven’t read before. This was the second book of eight. I look forward to reading the rest of her books.
Brilliant but gruesome drama of a serial rapist who believed he was more clever than anyone else. This was a book which needed to be finished before it was put down. Full of action and well written being able to feel the frustration of not knowing who - the rapid breathing when something else happened - you could truly live this tale.
Is everyone dying a justice? Apart from the ending I think it’s a pretty good read. I didn’t know it was a series when I purchased the book. If I ever see more of this series’s books I’ll definitely buy them.

The book is a 3 but the ending is great so I’m bumping to a five. My only issue is that it seems all the “good” victims are white and all the prostitutes, criminals and “bad” rape victims are Latinx. Maybe that was considered to be okay back in the 90s?
