Narvik chronicles the naval battles surrounding the German occupation of the port in April of 1940. Beautifully written by Captain Peter Dickens, Royal Navy, who happened to be the great-grandson of the great novelist Charles Dickens, we are told the little-known story of the heroism of both sides in this battle. The failure of the German torpedoes and hence of their U-boats was to have a major role in the defeat of the German destroyer squadron. A very enjoyable read.
