I got this book out of the library one day, and read it at that same day. And I must say it was rather good.
The book is presented in a half interview, half IM chat sort of way, like this:
What other books did Glenn Murphy write?
He wrote Why is Snot Green? and How Loud Can you Burp? as a series together, and Stuff That Scares your Pants Off! He also wrote the first book in the Science Sorted! series, Space, Black Holes and Stuff. All the books he writes are for the Science Museum.
I should also note this is how most of his other books are shown like. But not Stuff That Scares Your Pants Off.
Since this book is written by Glenn Murphy, it's filled with his kind of humour. While the incredibly lame puns were just that, when he's really trying the comedy can be brilliant.
As a scientific aid, it succeeds too. I ended up learning things I hadn't before, which is atypical for a children's science book I've read.
The bottom line is that this is a great book and I hope it finds its way into many classrooms worldwide.
