I was captured by this secondhand hardback book cover, which caught my eye in a lifeboat charity shop in Freshwater Bay. The soft watercolours of the wild birds flying over the tidal lands and Islands sold it to me. What a joy this book was, the illustrations inside are wonderful and Richard Perry writes like a poet. He makes wild birds interesting and brings into your minds eye a visual feast. This book has a great balance from being informative to the art of describing poetically wild birds in their natural habitat. This is a Wonderful creative book.
