It was interesting. I must admit I skimmed more than read. I love to learn about how much these three religions have in common. I also love to learn how much our "modern" religions have taken from ancient pagan religions. God is love. Love your neighbor. If you can be anything, be kind.

If interested in the history..... how religions' puzzle pieces evolve, combine, diverge then this is quite an easy read for the "dabbler."

ReedIII Quick Review: First this is not comparative religions but comparative Abrahamic religions. It filled with questionable “facts”. More irritating and problematic are the inaccurate interpretations and inaccurate explanations. For these reasons I did not finish this book

A good overview of the three religions that believe in the same God of Abraham. Covers the history of each, the things in common, and the differences.

Comparative Religion for Dummies looks at the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam), their common ancestor in Abraham, their similarities and a basic overview of their beliefs. I borrowed this book from the library and this is the first 'For Dummies...' book that I have read.

It covered the basics of the three religions so it was informative but lacked any depth. It is an interesting read as an introduction to the three religions, however, I did find it a bit boring and monotonous. I doubt I will read any 'For Dummies...' books again.

A little bit on the light side (it is "for dummies"), but decent intro of non-Abrahamic religions not found in every book on this subject.
