It's an informational read and does a good job at covering the basics for CSI and lab technicians.

At 156 pages plus a glossary a little too superficial. The cover of the book also states "19 case studies" but most of these cover less than a page so they could not be classed as in depth. But it does give a general idea of forensic how forensic work is actually done in more detail than would be found in a tv series.
