Well, not pretty much to say about the book. It goes through a wide range of subjects beginning from the creation/ evolution controversy and finishing with subjects like global warming, globalization, cloning and the like. A good starter if your're not familiar with the subjects but for me it did not bring anything new.
I suppose if you are a Catholic struggling with the Church's inconsistent teachings regarding science, this book might help. Everyone else is suggested to skim it, then go read Philosophy of Science: The Central Issues followed up by The God Delusion.
