The Very Rev. Galamba de Oliveira, author of this book, was the official go between for the first Bishop of Fatima with Lucia, sole survivor of the three children who saw Our Lady of Fatima. Canon Galamba became the right hand of the first Bishop of Fatima, and remained in this position with the second Bishop, the Most Rev. John Venancio. But in addition to being on the Council of the Bishop of Fatima, Canon Galamba achieved fame in Portugal for his many writings and also as a great preacher. He was chosen in Portugal f o head a team of experts for the publication of a new translation of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, a work which spanned many years. Canon Oliveira visited the United States in 1947 when, with John Haffert, he brought the Pilgrim Virgin here from Fatima. He heads the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal and is a member of the Blue Army International Council, of which the Bishop of Fatima is president. It is not an exaggeration to say that Canon Oliveira is, in himself, a part of the authentic history of Fatima. He writes with authority. And his subject is one of inspiration and a seven year old little girl who saw Our Lady was transformed...

I have a particular devotion to Our Lady of Fatima, and especially little (Saint) Jacinta Marto. This book was so sweet. Just loved it.

This was such a good book that was inspirational about St. Jacinta. I gained a lot from reading it, and I plan to read it again someday.
