I'd heard news that the play was going to receive a revival on Broadway - which intrigued me, since it was one of Coward's plays I didn't know. So I read it. And didn't like it. At all. Granted, it was one of Coward's first plays, so a lot of technique was missing. But a lot of something else was also missing: essentially, a play. It just wasn't there. So why, many decades later, was it coming back to Broadway?
