''Richard Osborne, John Reid and Mary Reid have produced an excellent guide to universities, written from the perspective of a student and full of insights and information which have never before been brought together in one book. As a former Minister for Higher Education I know how important it is that the mystique that sometimes surrounds universities is punctured in a style and format that young people appreciate which not only acts as an encouragement to go to university but provides the essential information they need once they are there. The fact that it's so entertaining and readable is an added bonus.'' - Alan Johnson MP
