Mark Robson was born in Essex in 1966 and raised, for the most part, in Camarthen, West Wales. In 1982 he gained a scholarship to join the Royal Air Force as a pilot and has worked for them ever since. He successfully self-published the four book series, The Darkweaver Legacy, the first book of which was largely written during tours of duty in the Falkland Islands. He now lives in Northamptonshire with his family.
This one was actually a bit more boring than the previous two. I just didn't find it anywhere near as engaging as Firestorm and Shadow. The beginning almost felt a bit like filler and there just wasn't as much dramatic action as there was in the first two. Even the characters seemed to be acting a tad out of character at times, Kira and Pell especially. Even the ending was kind of low key, it just wasn't as good as the first two. But it did still have great writing style and detail. I give it a 6/10.
"Longfang is an exciting and immersive fantasy adventure with strong world-building and compelling characters. Robson's storytelling keeps the pace engaging, and the action scenes are well-executed. While some parts could have used a bit more depth, the book delivers a thrilling read that keeps you hooked until the end. A great choice for fantasy lovers looking for a fresh and adventurous tale!"
I only liked it because I missed the previous book so I didn't understand it much but as I delved deeper, i became engrossed into it and it turned out to be a good book after all.
