The book on its own is an ok read. You need not read the rest of the review. It's a rant.

It is a testament of how terrible the current education system that they thought that this book is adequate read for 16 and 17 year olds. It meant that they undermined the comprehension of these teenagers. They made these a compulsory reading for my youngest brother and his peers. I am appalled because by age 11, I was reading a much longer and harder books. At 17, I was crying over the last Harry Potter books. And at that age the book that we were forced to read in school was the Pearl by John Steinback.. It wasn't a very remarkable book in my opinion but it was a whole lot better than this one. This book, if you must put in the list, should be given to 13 year olds... and now that I think about it.. we dissected the poem Life Brief Candle by Shakespeare, so no.

The book consists of five stories " the robbery , the right thing to do , Canada can wait , salt , and slow food " . it speaks about the way we behave sometimes , the things we ignore in everyday life and actions . each story contains a different meaning in an educational and simple way . before every story there is an introduction about the characters and scenes . at the end of the book you can see an exercises and a glossary . it's a nice book for educational and light reading.

Kedvencem a The Robbery lett, kedvem lenne előadni.

I like the book. I like to read a variety of books. It is good to read plays for a change.
It is level 1 Bookworms so pretty easy to read and not too long. As an English beginner learner, I get tired and bored quite quickly if the text is long and too difficult to understand.

It's a little laboured in places. The points made about how we behave are laudable, if not utterly compelling.

robbery, bank, library, travel, salt, truck, accident

"It's important for everybody to read books - not just you and me, but everybody... even bank robbers! "

Those sentenses are very interesting for thus class. One story of this book is about a funny robbers group. They got a plan to rob a bank, but the building that they entered was a library. The Robert was nearly happenned, but a librarian kept a cool head. Surprisingly, she recommended them to bollow books not to surrender. I found she is a model of a librarian.

Cartea pentru incepatori , in studierea limbii engleze.
