Did not finish. Almost made it to the end, but couldn't bring myself to slog through the last 70 pages.
This is a book with 2 terrible characters who don't know how to communicate properly with each other, are insanely prideful, jump wildly to conclusions, and love to hurt each other with words. He's always grabbing her so hard it hurts, she always wants to hit him. He always says things with "a dangerous edge" in his voice that "sent a shiver of fear down her spine". She is initially an insufferable spoiled brat who does go through some character development and cuts out her attitude, but everything she does draws anger and criticism from him because he always automatically assumes the worst of her. She tries to defend herself and call him out, but he refuses to listen and she ends up saying awful things that make the situation worse. Need I go on? 😂
I don't read this kind of book looking for stellar writing and character development but my word, it's just always the same thing with these two and I couldn't bear it any longer.
