There are many interesting creatures in the story. My favourite creature was the Basilisk.

Very dreamy and imaginative. It has all the elements of a fairy tale . Enjoyed reading it out to my students.

Read with my Turkish host family's children. A nice gentle introduction to the trope of the fantasy quest with some interesting elements: a magic bell, a unicorn, a gnome, a basilisk and a dragon. The evil teddy-bear was a perfect twist. Wrapped up a little too neatly and easily and the writing reminds me of the fantasy quest stories I wrote as a child, but it was a cute read.
