this book was incredible. reading Zora’s writing throughout the decades. i am so glad to have read her work from as early as the 30s until the 40s and 50s. to see her growth as a writer of short story. to see how she writes across genre - short story, fiction, nonfiction, folklore. learning more about her life and reflecting on where she grew up in an all Black town in Florida, and then going to Barnard. this edition is quite remarkable and a testament to the way she is one of the best storytellers bar none. zora forever. THE florida girl.
