First thing I thought after finishing this book was, did they hire an editor at all? I could spot an error or misspelling on like every five pages. Second thing I thought was, well that was pretty useless. I really wouldn't recommend this book over other AP chemistry books. Especially not if you haven't taken an actual course for AP chemistry. It just skims over all the general concepts, not providing enough information for a good understanding of them, and just gives you a couple of sample problems. I mean if you have only like two days before the test and you know nothing, then by all means--this is a short book after all--go for it. But in hindsight I should've bought a Barron's.
That's not to say though that all AP books by REA are bad. I also have their AP English book, which is much, much more useful. In fact, it's a great introductory book as well. But not so for this one.
You won't actually learn AP Chemistry by reading this. However, if you already know the material and want to review, or if you want tips on taking the exam, this is a helpful book.
