Little Fred Riding Hood

Rate this book
Big Bad Wolf is Wilf Wolf's hero and Little Red Riding Hood is his favorite story, although pages are mysteriously missing from the end of the story. One day, on his way back from Wolfworths, Wilf meets a boy called Little Fred who has just been visiting his granny and who is wearing a red hood! Wilf can't believe his luck and plans to gobble Fred's granny, just like in the story! But when Wilf knocks on granny's door he gets a shock. Granny is six feet tall! She's the granny Little Fred visits on Saturday, not the small, tasty-looking one that Wilf saw on Thursday! Little Fred and his Saturday granny chase Wilf through the woods threatening to marmalise him! Poor Wilf! Time to find a new favorite book. How about The Three Little Pigs ? This is a hilarious story for all naughty wolves!

Senkin tampio taliaivo! Nähdään taas, homenaama!"

Saku Susi on innostunut lukemaan kerta toisensa jälkeen Punahilkkaa, josta on tullutkin hänen suosikkisatunsa, vaikka hänen lukemastaan kirjasta puuttuukin kaksi viimeistä sivua...

Wilf Wolf enjoys reading his copy of Little Red Riding Hood. The problem is that the last 2 pages of the book have been removed, so he doesn't know how the story ends. He loved the story so much that he wished he could be part of the story himself. As it turns out, he meets up with Little Fred Riding Hood and is ecstatic as Fred has a little granny, just like his story book. He finds out that Fred is going to visit his granny; taking along a basket full of treats for her. Match made in heaven right? Wrong - but I don't want to spoil it for you, so you'll have to just read took. A super take on the original story that we have all grown up with.

first page ...
WilfWolf put down his copy of Little Red Riding Hood and sighed a big sigh. He gazed at the picture of the Big Bad Wolf on the front cover and said, "Oh, I do wish I could be just like you, Big Bad."
Big Bad was WilfWolf's hero and Little Red Riding Hood was his favourite story. He'd just finished reading it for the twenty-third time and he'd enjoyed it more than ever, even though the last two pages were missing.

Little Fred Riding Hood by Michael Cox, illustrated by Liz Million – early chapter book, fairy tale adaptation – Enjoyed reading this adaptation, humorous and entertaining. Quick read that’s perfect for a reader developing fluency skills. I am looking forward to meeting Liz Million soon, she’s an author/illustrator visiting my school soon.
