Thanks to an aunt’s love of genealogy, Christyne discovered both Louisa May Alcott and Harriet Beecher Stowe are members in her extended family tree on her mother’s side, so she firmly believes her love of writing has always been her destiny.

Her father served in the Air Force for twenty years which resulted in her birth in Taipei, Taiwan and she spent her youth growing up all over the world before her family settled in New Hampshire in time for her to attend high school. She followed in her family’s rich military history and joined the United States Navy where she fell in love with romance novels after someone remembered women were serving aboard seagoing vessels and sent a box full of paperback romances to her ship, the USS VULCAN AR-5.

She started pursuing her own writing in 2002, sold her first ever ‘finished’ manuscript in 2006 and made her first sale to Harlequin Special Edition two years later! She writes contemporary romances full of life, love, a hint of laughter and perhaps a dash of danger too. Christyne loves the challenge of the boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-gets-girl-back and the journey of joy and hardship two people go through. And there has to be a ‘happily ever after’ or she’s just not satisfied.

When she’s not writing, she can be found hunting for treasures at yard sales and antique fairs to add to her collection of memorabilia of women who served in the military, watching classic romantic movies and the great movie musicals of the 40′s and 50′s, and reading books by her favorite authors.

She lives in central Massachusetts with her family, a four-footed double-pawed black cat who rules the house and a shelter-saved pup named Harley (short for Harlequin) who really thinks he’s a cat too!

Justin Dillon knows he shouldn't get involved with Gina Steele. Not only is she an innocent, but her brother is the sheriff. And to an ex-con that is even harder to overcome. And then he meets Jacoby - a son he didn't know he had.

Gina is incredibly attracted to Justin. She really wishes that they could be together, but Justin made up his mind and doesn't seem willing to get involved with her. Since she's really smart she jumped grades and finished college earlier than her generations, there was always a big gap in ages between her and her classmates. As a result, she never dated much, and this thing she has with Justin is even more special than she thought.

Justin is doing his best to turn his life around. He messed up bad when he got involved with drug trade, but he paid his debt to society and now he just wants to live a normal life. Of course finding out you have a kid is not something that fits into his plan. But it's definitely the bes thing that happened to him.

I love Jacoby, he is definitely the best thing in the book. He's such a great kid. But his mother is a moron, the way she treated him is reprehensible.

Gina and Justin's romance is OK, but I had some problems with the last third of the book. Both of them acted weird, especially Justin. I know he has issues, but hurting Gina was unnecessary.

I liked seeing Racy and Gage again. And I'm looking forward to the next book in the series Welcome Home, Bobby Winslow.

This is another Destiny book and really good, about Gina, Gage's brainy sister and Justin, Racy's ex-con brother.

Gina returned to town and took a job in Racy's place much to the dismay of her family, she was tired of being good and studious and after spending years away from her family in boarding schools and pursuing higher education she wanted change, and she got that, being more outgoing and having the hots for Justin.

Justin spent years in prison after ratting out his brother, there he turned his life around, took a degree and learned to cook and now is working at Racy's place. He has been trying hard to deny his attraction to Gina, since they are poles apart and she deserves better but then in come Jacoby who is dropped at his door-step by a woman who claims he is his son.

Justin doesn't know a thing about being a father since his father was one of the worst but he does his best along with the help of his family and Gina. Jacoby was a adorable little guy who had been through a lot in his short life.

I enjoyed seeing Justin and Gina come together, mainly Justin realizing that he had paid for his past and deserved a second chance.

I read most of the Welcome to Destiny series, and so far, A Daddy for Jacoby is my favorite. Maybe I truly have a thing for bad boys. There is something deep in the story of Jacoby, and how he ends up being the responsibility of a father he barely knows. Jacoby's obsession with the pillowcase that holds his few possessions, made me teary-eyed.

After serving his time, Justin Dillon is back in town, trying of getting the stability he never had. The only disturbing element in this new life is Gina Steele, who happens to be the sister of Destiny's Sheriff, Gage Steele. Whose story we enjoyed in The Sheriff's Secret Wife. Where he had his own passionate romance with Justin's sister, Racy Dillon. During this book, we witness Racy and Gage's happy-ever-after.

Gina is a good girl, whose charm and generosity make Justin's world a little bit harder. Because she is the one woman he can’t have. After spending a night together, during which they only shared a room, in spite of the whole town thinking they shared more. Gina is resolved to get Justin for real, but he doesn't want to mess with his little hard-earned peace, besides, Jacoby's presence is not the best time to start a romance with Gina. There is a lot of sexual tension between them, and the sensual scenes are intense.

It's touching seeing their process into love, specially Justin's acceptance of deserving a happy ending too. Since most of his reactions to Gina are because he thinks that his past mistakes make him worthless. The author writes in an amazing realistic way, all characters well developed and details that made us care about their fates. So get ready to laugh, get mad, wipe a teary eye, and smile at the romantic ending.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about Justin Dillon in his own story, after being introduced to him in his sister Racy's book, The Sheriff's Secret Wife....but I LOVED this book. Another one I couldn't put down. I started it at home. Took it with me to a family party, to read on the long ride to and home from the beach, then, finished at home that night. I LOVED Justin and Gina. And little Jacoby? What a precious doll. I just wanted to take him in my arms and hug him. Justin was such a great Dad. Despite his fears. I also love a man who can cook ;-) Gina was great with Jacoby. I loved their connection. Loved his bond with Racy and Gage's dog, Jack too. I also enjoyed getting to see the other resident's of Destiny again. I am quickly falling in love with Destiny Wyoming and it's resident's. Another sweet, romantic, charming read by Ms. Butler.

Read this is in like two hours. This was among a bunch of books my mom handed me in a bag. Wasn't really sure how much I was going to like it since it was typical silhouette. However, it was a good story. Not the best romance I've ever read but it was cute, the sex wasn't embarrassing or stupid, and the characters weren't two dimensional. I liked that the main focus was on caring for the kid for a change, instead of on the "hoo boy the electricity between us" stuff. Ending was cheesy but satisfying.

Simple and cute. A nice little break before I go back into creepy/disturbing books.

Good book - third in the Destiny series although these books aren't as marked for the series as others are by Harlequin.

Cute. 3rd book in a related series, all set in "Destiny: Where fate leads to falling in love" - so these were secondary characters in book 2. Wyoming, so lots of cowboy hats. Nice HEA.
