Some of these essays are absolute timeless jewels. Suggestions on Dragonfly Sitting is the single best guide to meditation (here called contemplative prayer) bar none, and worth the owning the book. I have purchased several copies and am giving them as gifts.

This book is badly dated and never goes anywhere. The author seemed unable to focus on a topic or come to the point.
