Struggling to survive alone in the new state of Ohio early in the nineteenth century, the Carson sisters are happy to see a preacher arrive in the town of Beaver Creek, especially Kate, who is intrigued with the preacher's sons.
It's the first decade of the nineteenth century and Ohio has just been accepted as a state and growth is beginning to take place in this new state. This book is the first in a series of four novellas in a series titled Ohio that follow the 3 Carson sisters. This one focuses on the eldest sister, Kate, who is being pursued by several young men. But her heart and soul are telling her to seek the one who is not only strong but also a Godly young man. Quick, enjoyable Christian romance that is developed fairly well within its 113 pages. I will read the others at a later date.
Love is not always about feelings, nor the way we've felt it. It's something we need and we have to open up things unseen. Faith is being strengthened by each characters in this book. It's more inspiring to have a relationship whose foundation is Christ! I learned that fate nor destiny cannot lead us to the one we want But only God can choose and can give you the person meant for you.
