I've been teaching out of this text for a few years and it is a good intermediate algebra text. The first 6 chapters are an introduction: beginning or elementary algebra. After a thorough review of Chapter 6, which covers key and important factoring techniques, the rest of the book starting with Chapter 7 is goood for a semester-length course in Intermediate Algebra.
