This book was much more informative than some of the in-person courses I have taken to learn this software program. The bonus material obtained by registering the book (including how to build iPad books) is great. The only problem I had with this book was that two of the lessons had misprints in the menu commands, which took some figuring out to understand where they wanted you to click. Another lesson had an image in the book that differed in appearance from final results, which was confusing. Overall, a worthwhile exercise.

I used this book to teach me the fundamentals of InDesign. Before this book, I had tried to figure out the program without really knowing what it could do or how to use it. This book really helped me grasp what I could do and how to go about doing different things. There were a couple of errors in the directions that left me wondering where something was but after looking in different menus, I eventually found what was being mentioned.
