Sociology of Religion is an increasingly popular component of courses in religious studies at undergraduate level. While most textbooks on the Sociology of Religion are written from a sociological background, this new student-friendly textbook aims to introduce the field and the subjects studied by sociologists of religion to students with a background in theology and religious studies.
The contents is very good, but the phrases are so long (often 40plus or even 50plus words), and too often a difficult word is chosen when an easy word can be used. So, even though some people may call this eloquent, for me it hides the message raher than that it reveals. A missed chance. Once again: contents is really good, but what an effort for me to read (I am not native in English). With easier language I would have rated it 5 stars.
