Dale was also one of the nation's first Air Force ROTC cadets to qualify for and complete the grueling three-week U.S. Army Airborne Infantry paratrooper training course.
Dale is a director and volunteer pilot for AirLifeLine, a non-profit national charitable medical transportation organization who fly needy persons free of charge to receive treatment. He also supports a number of organizations to support and promote law enforcement and reading.

He is a multi-engine and instrument-rated private pilot and can often be found in the skies all across the United States, piloting his own plane. On the ground, Dale enjoys tennis, skiing, scuba diving, and hockey. Dale, his wife Diane, and son Hunter live near the shores of Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

I didn't like it. It felt too much like a GI Joe cartoon. Lots of action. Lots of tech. Very little plot or character development.

Longer than it needs to be and saved only by an interesting and exciting finale. This rating might be a bit high based primarily on that. 6 of 10 stars.

This is a series of books about a Special Ops group of pilots in the Air Force. In this installment, the commander of Dreamland and fellow pilots helped avert WWII by using a secret weapon EMP to disable nukes fired between India and Pakistan. Now, they race against the clock to retrieve their war heads with assistance from the Navy. Also the unit is searching for a pair of downed pilots. Fast paced and high action.

Could not finish. Supposed to be set in desert in Southwest but starts out in the area of India and Pakistan. Way too much military-speak for me. All the funny names for people and weapons and aircraft and ships had me completely confused. I never knew what was going on or where. Hated the incredibly long chapters. C. 2009

Action-filled!
An action-filled novel about the start of what could be
WW3, beginning when Pakistan and India launch against each other, along with meddling from the Chinese and U.S... Dreamland gets involved with their new robotic aircraft and other toys to gather up the unused nuclear warheads. But one got away...

The book Dreamland Retribution is about a war between Pakistan, China, and India. The war comes around when twenty-five nuclear warheads disappear and the United States is said to be friendly with all of these Nations they are in between who they should fight for in the conflict, but it ends up that no one is friendly and it is a race against time to who can find the nuclear warhead first. If any other country finds the nukes then they are going to be set racing right towards the United States and at the other countries in the conflict, The Dreamland Team from the U.S is sent out to find the nukes before the other countries do. China’s vessels find a nuke and they bring it back to their ship the Mega Fortress when the Dream land finds out that they have the missile there is very little that they can do. The U.S shoots a missile up at the nuke and they knocked it out of the sky only hundreds of feet away from blowing up Nevada. Thanks to the Dreamlands commander and their cutting edge equipment they were able to save millions of people.
My Favorite Character in this book was Lieutenant Colonel Tecumseh "Dog" Bastian is the leader of Dreamland because he is the Protagonist in the book and he is very interesting. Dog is awesome because he is a strong bold character that you don’t want to cross. I like him because he rules his squad with an iron fist and doesn’t take no for an answer and this pays of when he saves the United States.
I would recommend this book to anyone they likes books with heavy conflict in them. I enjoyed this book because it was intense and I got locked into it unlike I would in most other books. I think that this is a good book because it runs multiple story lines with many characters in it that doesn’t make sense at first but they all come together at the end making this story worth reading.

It kept me interested, but not as deep as I Flight of the Old Dog or his earlier novels did. I definitely felt the struggles that Dog was going through with the new commander of Dreamland. From the first moment the General was introduced, I knew it wasn't going to be pretty. LOL
This book is towards the end of the series and if given the chance, I will try to read the ones before and after it just so I "get the whole picture". Still a good read.
