I was happy to get back to back good books in the worst reading month. I think I am a fan of Nicola Marsh now. And also I can prefer reading romance now. But the ending was too much known. It was so obvious from the story. As much I enjoyed reading the other book for which I posted a review yesterday, this was a little less favourite as compared to that one.
I really enjoyed the story and the characters and the plot but the ending was very much known. I like surprise factors in the books but still it was good one if you want to read. I rated it 4 so it wasn’t bad at all but I gave it less rating just because of the known ending. Other than that I really loved the story.

3 1/2 Stars ~ While on holiday in Capri, Archer and Callie had a wonderfully fun and passionate fling. At the end of their week, Callie was in love and Archer was running scared and he brutally confirmed that all they shared was a holiday. Archer, already a world champion surfer, was foot loose and fancy free. He was constantly on the move to where the next big wave was. Returning home, Callie was determined that when next she could she was going to track Archer down and join him on the surf circuit, but she didn't get the chance. Her mother announced she had a debilitating illness that would soon take her life. It's now eight years later, and Callie runs her own very successful marketing firm. Her biggest client is about to launch a huge new venture and Callie needs the account to pay for her mother's specialized health care. The only hitch is, that while she's been working remotely for the client for a few years, she's never actually met the man behind the business. And that man is Archer, the man who walked away from her without a single look back. Archer is stunned to see Callie again, and he's ecstatic too. He's never forgotten her and from just one look he's certain she's never forgotten him either.

This is a charming love story. I really liked both Callie and Archer. They both suffered from trust issue and as it turns out from their fathers betrayals. Callie's added burden of caring for her mother and Archer's need for independence put them both on the going nowhere relationship road. While I did enjoy this story, I found it rather sagged a bit and I found myself easily distracted. I loved Archer's brothers and hope there is a story to come for Tom.

Kinda hard on a person realizing that your family is human too and can unintentionally hurt you while trying to protect you. Pretty good story, well rounded and sweet.

Most of the plot was well written. But there was the one thing in the plot where his dad had prostate cancer that was very spottily elaborated on until about three quarters of the way through the book. So even though I enjoyed the story, through most of it all I could do is wonder really what the family had hid from him until I got to that point. Then I was like oh okay, I finally understood then what she was talking about in the story. The other thing was that it felt like she was referring to a piece of the story that may have been from another book but there isn't one preceding it. I don't like it when an author does something like that. But for an overall of the whole story I thought the ending was very nice and liked it very much.

Solid 3.5 stars -- was a bit higher, sucked me right into the story and was loving Archer and Callie...but it just sort of fizzled and drew out near the end. I can't figure it out. It wasn't horrible (hello, 3.5 stars is awesome)... It...yeah, seriously I have no idea.
