Another wonderful edition to an ever growing group of determined men, intelligent women and the mates who love them.

Rico and Megan were a good fit for each other. The addition of a family mystery keeps this series exciting and moving forward. I do wish there had been a little more romantic scenes between them, showing their bond forming.

And I was disappointed they have taken the couples off the covers. It was a nice change to see an African-American couple on predominately Caucasian genre.

Good book. Megan has taken over part of the family's search for information about one of their ancestors. Rico is a private investigator she hired to help her. He is also a family member by marriage and incredibly attractive. When she first meets him at a family wedding she is immediately attracted to him. When she invites herself along on one of his investigation's trips, he lets her know that he's attracted to her also and plans to act on it. During their trip some interesting things about her ancestor come out and Rico helps her deal with them. I liked both Rico and Megan. Megan is a woman who has pretty good control over her emotions, but Rico is very good at blowing that control away. She is also very family oriented and determined to find out the truth about her great-grandfather. Even though Rico insists that he works alone, she still plans to show up to participate in the investigation. She also feels that she can handle her attraction to Rico even though he states flat-out that he's determined to get her in his bed. I did like the way that she made her own decisions about what she wanted to do. Rico is a guy who eventually wants a family, but is pretty soured on marriage because of his father's actions. When he meets Megan there is an immediate connection. He's reluctant to act on it at first because of the family connection, but changes his mind pretty quickly. He does everything he can to make Megan want him. He's also very good as an investigator and finds some interesting info on Megan's great-grandfather. When the initial information upsets Megan, he is great at making her feel better. He also starts thinking about the info they got and realizing that some things didn't add up. The conclusion was very good, and sets the stage for the next book. The entire book was good, though there were times I felt it belonged more in the Blaze line than the Desire line.

Review:

"Texas Wild" by Brenda Jackson another one of her romantic mystery Westmoreland's novel...another Texas, Colorado, Georgia and Montana Westmoreland Clan Saga...the continuation series...

This wonderful romance was of:

Megan Westmoreland (heroine)...known as 'Iceberg Queen' (Megan)?...
She was a anesthesiologist who had hired Mr. Claiborne to trace her family roots...getting information about her great-grandfather(Raphael) and how many other Westmorelands could be out there. She was a successful Doctor but Megan wasn't knowledgeable about sex...however, it didn't take her long to show that she was ...kissable, lovable...after she meets...Rico...now will Megan learn other things about life?... Megan journeys to Forbe, Tx... What will they find out there...from Fanny Banks?...

Ricardo Claiborne(hero)...hot, irresistible, darn sexy, hot, steamy, wonderful kisser and passionate... He was a private investigator hired by Megan Westmoreland... Was this love at first sight...between these two? Well, this is where I say you must pick up "Texas Wild" and read for yourself to see where Ms. Jackson will take us on this wonderful read.

You will not be disappointed in another one of Ms. Jackson good reads..."Texas Wild" from the beginning till the end. I was not disappointed ...Ms. Jackson always leaves us (her readers) wanting more. If you are looking for a intriguing hot steamy romantic read you have come to the right place and I would recommend this novel as a excellent read.

This was an okay read from Brenda Jackson. The story felt really rushed to me and I'm over most the women being virgins. I wish she would change up her storylines a little and let some of the women be in control (like in Seduction, Westmoreland Style) and be more experienced. This book was just okay for me as I was expecting more since I hadn't read anything from her in a while. This book was also a very quick read that I could've finished in one day if I hadn't been busy. What I did really like about the book was that I got to catch up with the rest of the Westmoreland clan and I like how she weaves all the characters from the previous stories into the present ones. Hopefully One Winter's Night will be better, which I'm about to start reading right now.

It's been a while since I have read and enjoyed a Westmoreland story.....I can truly say that this was a really good read......haven't really loved any of the Denver Westmoreland's book since the first two.....but Megan and Rico's story was a nice little read.....some things could have been done differently but as we have come to learn with Ms. Brenda in the Westmoreland's there are not many unexpected surprises......

Read on Kindle. But posted it as a paperback since I couldn't find a Kindle version to post. I really love this series. I wasn't too sure I was going to like this one at first but it picked up pretty quick.

Family Ties

Highlighting Westmoreland men makes for better story telling. In Texas Wild Megan Westmoreland finds her happy ever after with Rico Claiborne. Rico's sisters (Jessica and Savannah ) are married to Westmoreland men. This is definitely keeping it in the family.

Avery Glymph elevated the experience . . .
Overall 4 out of 5 stars
Performance 4 out of 5 stars
Story 3 out of 5 stars

Huge fan of BJ and of her Westmorelands series, never doubt that but there was just something that got me thinking. I felt like I had read this one before with different characters and a slightly different take on things. Rico was most certainly the hottest thing since ever for Megan and all her self-control. But I was wanting things to be a bit more edgy. The trail to uncover her great-grandfather's life held me on to this story. I wanted to know more about him than about Rico and Megan. It just felt like things were rushed.

Avery's narration brought the level of visualization up a few pegs for me. His voice delivered that richness and the sensuality of Megan. I found that to be the most delicious of things. The audio was smooth, clear, and clean.

I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrator was ok, and the story didn't do much for me. I'm glad this was not the first Brenda Jackson book for me.

I didn't like Megan. I felt no heat or chemistry between Rico and Megan. Megan fainting was a little over the top. I kind of resented her telling Rico that he needed to reconnect with his father. I thought she was out of line. She had the magnificent Westmoreland family to grow up around. It seemed to me like she didn't take Rico's feelings about the situation into consideration at all.

The story felt rushed, and didn't hold my attention. I kept having to rewind. I didn't feel like much time was spent developing Rico and Megan's relationship. It got to the point that I just didn't care about them or the long list Westmoreland. This book was disappointing.

Texas Wild. I enjoyed this book. Megan is determined to find out more about what happened to their great-grandfather and if there are more Westmorelands in the world. She hired Rico Clairborne, a private investigator, to search for more info. He finds some in Texas and Micah decided she would go with him to Texas. Rico tried to talk her out of it because he could feel the strong chemistry that was developing between the two of them and didn't want that to distract him from his job he had to do. But you have to read what happens when they make it to Texas. It gets steamy!

This is the only book that I've read in this series. I don't know if would have enjoyed it more if I'd read others, but it didn't feel like I was missing too much. Megan Westmoreland hires Rico Claiborne to track down missing relatives. When his search takes him to Texas, Megan decides to tag along. The two find they can't fight the strong chemistry they feel for each other, while learning painful things about Megan's family. The book was too short to really get invested in the characters.

Texas Wild

This was a story about Megan Westmoreland and Ricardo Claiborne. She hired Ricardo as a private investigator in search of her great grandfather. Due to her insistence in accompanying him to the next known town of the wear about of Raphael Westmoreland they realized they were attracted to each other. Once they acted on their attraction it led to their happily ever after.

It was ok, but kind of boring. Books in this series feel a but repetive and like they follow a formula (heroine watched men in her life be manwhores, hero has bad past relationship that put them off serious ones). It was a bit better then the last few in series though. Didn't really like the turn of the great grandfather mystery though. Np.

Another great book

This is Megan’s story, she is trying to find out if there are more Wstmoreland’s. She hires Rico who is a private investigator to help her. The chemistry between them is off the charts. They were able to find out more information and along the way they fell in love with each other. Great epilogue.

I can't believe I forgot to add this to my read list, I finished it ages ago :/
It is ok? I mean a 'meh' Brenda Jackson book is still a good book. and it is always a nice switch for it to be about the few female westmorelands. I liked it, but was not nearly as sold on it as I am with the others

Really awesome book

Because it's an really awesome book and I like that Megan and Rico did not wait to tell each other that they love each other and I don't like that Rico's father tried to lie so he can get money for his drug habit

I love the Westmoreland series. Rico and Megan were able to uncover more about Raphel Westmoreland and that there may be more lost relatives out there. Reread this before reading Maverick Outlaw's book. I think we're about to find out more about the Outlaw connection to the Westmorelands.

Another love at first sight story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Megan and Rico were super cute. She swore she could have some self control around him only to be proven wrong time and time again. Curious to see how the ancestry search continues to go.

Texas Wild

Fantastic Summer read, sizzles, questioning, family-oriented romance. Good to have interracial couple. Relatable characters and like so many African American families searching for missing family history.

Texas Wild (The Westmorelands book23)

Rico Claiborne and Megan Westmoreland can't ignore the attraction they have for each other. Rico has agreed to search for more Westmorelands in Texas but says Megan can't go with him but Megan's will is just as strong as his.

Wild

Another Westmoreland gets together with 🔥. I enjoyed Megan melting and surrendering control. More important and entertaining is the search for more Westmorelands. Having read , "Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaws" I get to know the background.

My 3rd book by this author. It did feel rushed.

Jackson certainly has a formula. This book felt somewhat rushed. Yet at the same time painfully repetitive.
