The book of Ruth is an epic love story between Ruth, a foreigner, and Boaz, a true Israelite. Yet, it also demonstrates God's great love and provision for His children. Behind the struggles and unforeseen circumstances which bring this Moabitess and her mother-in-law, Naomi, into poverty and despair, God is there behind the scenes weaving together all the makings of a feel-good movie. The story of Ruth will leave the reader with a greater understanding of who these characters were and how God used their situation for a greater purpose, but also as a reminder of how He is still working and moving in our lives even when things seem to be at their worst.
