I've really never read any Anne Rice and HOLY MOLY - she's fabulous, no wonder she was so popular :) I also had no idea this book was written in 1976, I'd assumed it was much later than that.
This was so fun to read - she's a fantastic author, and the characters were just *chef's kiss* so deep and tragic and wonderful and awful and............I don't even LOVE vampires, but it didn't seem to matter, it was just really really great. 5/5
